Founded by Josh Holtz and his wife Kari Holtz in 2022 with a simple goal: create the kind of conference we wanted to attend. What began as an ambitious idea has grown into a yearly gathering of developers from around the world who travel to Chicagoland for a few days of learning, inspiration, and — of course — pizza.

From day one, Deep Dish Swift has focused on community first. The best conferences are about more than talks and code samples — they're about hallway conversations, meeting internet friends in real life, helping the next generation of developers, and creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels like they belong.

Our event features a mix of Swift, iOS, macOS, design, product, testing, tooling, indie development, and community-focused sessions. Whether you're shipping your first app, maintaining a large-scale production application, or building your dream indie business — our goal is for every attendee to leave with new ideas, new friends, and renewed excitement for building great software.
